Truth: Faith – Daniel 6:23

Daniel 6:23
Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.”

Daniel had the rare opportunity to influence four kings and their kingdoms with godly principles. Staying true to God often meant putting himself in danger, but he never once wavered in his convictions. The record we have of Daniel’s life reveals what is necessary to have a godly impact on others.

He was committed to doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord. When he had to face consequences for choosing to remain faithful to God, he offered no complaint when faced with accepting the punishment of being thrown into the lions’ den.

How we respond to the consequences of our obedience is actually as important as being committed to God’s will. Others are watching and evaluating our reaction, and they want to see if we really believe our claim that the Lord is sovereign & in complete control. May we come along side of Daniel and remain faithful to our Lord no matter the circumstances.

In time of trouble, God’s Word promises to be a sure foundation and an enduring refuge.
