Only Jesus can Protect us from the Wages of Sin
- Not through religion, but by our Redeemer (Acts 4:12)
- Not through attainment, but by Atonement (Titus 3:5)
- Not through service, but by our Savior (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Only Jesus can offer us Entrance into His Protection (v. 1-10)
- “I am the door”: this is the presentation
- “If anyone”: this is the plan
- “enters”: this is the purpose
- “by Me”: this is the person
- “he will be saved”: this is the promise
- “and will go in and out”: this is the privilege
- “and find pasture”: this is the possession
Only Jesus provides His Life for our Protection (v. 11-16, Ps 23:1-4)
- His care supplies all of our peace (v.1)
- His compassion provides all of our peace (v. 2)
- His communion forgives all of our sins (v. 3)
- His comfort ensures all of our safety (v. 4)
